Sports Bras and knees - there’s a link!
Did you know that well-fitted, supportive sports bras can reduce the likelihood of knee injuries in athletes doing high impact sports?
We are thrilled to announce that representatives from Bendon are joining us this Sunday 16th June at our Game Day at Queens Park, with an “education tent”, offering personalised sports bra fittings and education on the importance of supportive sports bras. Physiotherapists from Women in Focus Physios will also be attending to explain the correlation.
We will also take this opportunity to celebrate the many amazing women's teams we have at the club with an action packed day of games.
What's on?
- Conversation with Bendon & Women in Focus - 1:15pm & 2:15pm
- BBQ - 11:30am to 2:30pm (or until sold out)
- 14x games of women’s football - 11am to 5pm on Fields 2 to 12 (see fixtures here).
Wet weather: if games are called off due to field closures, we will still run a BBQ and set up the tent at Queens Park!
What does the research say about the importance of a correct and well fitting sports bra?

The Sports Bra Project
The Sports Bra Project increases access to sports for women and girls by removing barriers to participation. We provide sports bras to athletes who don’t have access to such a basic piece of equipment.

We hope to see you there and also continuing this important conversation in sport!
Note: this is not a paid sponsorship - just a community initiative where we are partnering with those who are helping spread the right positive message.
