Spring Cup Season - Updated Divisions and Ground Rules

Published Fri 21 Oct 2022

Hi Spring Cup Season Members! We hope you are enjoying the season so far.

There are 8 more rounds of games. The last day of the season will be our Gala Day on Saturday 10th December - we look forward to sharing more information with you soon.

Please see some important information points below and share these with your teams.

Divisions

We have made changes to the divisions for all age groups/teams playing in the Spring Cup Season. This is to ensure teams are correctly challenged while improving technical skills and understanding of the game.

These new divisions can be found on the 2022 Spring Cup Season webpage or here for Minis (U6/U7) and here for MiniRoos/Juniors (all teams U8+)

- Minis: while scores are recorded, we will not be publishing any tables. Divisions will be further adjusted if necessary.

- MiniRoos/Juniors: every division will have a ranking table that is updated weekly. Tables will start fresh this week for all divisions but Pacific and Atlantic. It is important that Team Managers please remember to notify the staff member at the door what the final score is every week. Divisions will be further adjusted if necessary.

Fixtures

Fixtures have been released for the next 6 weeks of competition but please check these weekly as some changes will be made. Fixtures are available on the 2022 Spring Cup Season webpage.

If your allocated game time does not suit your team, please email us at least 5 days in advance.

Ground Rules

Field Access

- Parents are please asked to stay outside of the Moore Park Synthetic Field gates. This allows our coaches to have a clear view of all fields to monitor players and teams.

- Team Managers and Parent Coaches are permitted onto the fields.

- If you enter the fields, please walk along the perimeter of the field and not through the middle.

- Please exit the synthetic field quickly once games are finished.

Game Leaders

- Game Leaders (our version of referees) are present or past Easts FC players who play an important role in game days. They are between 12-16 years old and aim to share their positive football experience with younger players. Please remember to always treat them with respect and encourage players to thank them after the game.

- We try our best to allocate a Game Leader (or coach) to every fixture on Saturdays but sometimes are unable to due to sickness or other reasons. If your game does not have a Game Leader, please ask a parent to volunteer and help referee/keep time (games are 2x20 minutes).

Thank you and enjoy!
